Late in 2002, the Social Planning Network of Ontario launched a number of local projects under the Social and Economic Inclusion Inititiative supported by the Public Health Agency of Canada (Ontario Region). These projects are designed to help "close the distance" between certain marginalized populations in these local areas and mainstream community life. For a downloadable introduction to the Closing the Distance project please download the pdf brochure (127kb).
